Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Technician I to join our team at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. As a Research Technician I, you will assist in the performance of laboratory research and procedures, including electrophoresis, centrifugation, chromatography, and data collection and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist scientists and technicians in performing various research procedures and operating laboratory equipment.
  • Collect, record, and organize data, and perform calculations and prepare reports.
  • Configure and operate laboratory apparatus and instruments, and read and record instrument data.
  • Order chemicals, reagents, and other laboratory supplies as needed.
  • Participate in laboratory meetings and planning sessions.
  • Stay current in research area through applicable literature.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in an appropriate field or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • Some related laboratory experience preferred.
