Job Summary

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Highway Engineer to join our team in Irvine, California. As a key member of our transportation team, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing urban roadway projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical development of urban roadway design projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on major transportation projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Serve as a technical expert, providing guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Assume project management duties, interacting with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Supervise medium to large staff of professionals and technicians, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering program.
  • California Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills, and ability to work with various teams.
  • Project management skills desirable.
  • Experience with urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, and CAD-based alignment plans.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience with MicroStation, InRoads, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Previous work experience with Cal Trans/Local Cities projects (studies and design) is preferred.
