Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at WestCare Inc. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing individual, group, and family counseling services to clients. You will work under the supervision of a Counselor and assist with the delivery of clinical services, including documentation and crisis intervention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling services to clients, under the supervision of a Counselor.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation services as needed.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate clinical records.
  • Collaborate with Counselors and other team members to ensure seamless care.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain WestCare vehicle insurance.
  • Ability to pass first-level and NABS background clearance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
Working Conditions

This position requires regular attendance and the ability to work in a variety of settings, including indoor and outdoor environments. You will be required to work with clients of all ages and levels of functioning, and may be exposed to emotionally charged situations. You must be able to defend yourself and clients in physically and mentally abusive situations through the use of approved de-escalation techniques.
