Position Overview:

Siemens Mobility Rolling Stock is seeking a Group Lead Paint for our Finishing Department. In this dynamic role, your primary focus will be on supporting and training the Heavy Rail Painting team to achieve production targets. You will serve as the main leadership contact for a diverse and high-performing team, dedicated to ensuring that your team operates proficiently, safely, and productively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a collaborative team environment to enhance budget efficiency and track progress.
  • Develop and maintain clear work instructions to ensure team alignment.
  • Coordinate schedules to meet operational goals and boost productivity.
  • Implement safety protocols and prepare for painting tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Oversee the movement of car bodies and maintain painting equipment.
  • Apply technical knowledge to interpret manufacturing drawings and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and mathematical skills to solve problems and analyze data.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is essential.
  • Industry Experience: A minimum of two years in transportation painting, particularly within the automotive sector.
  • Language Proficiency: Strong foundational English skills, including the ability to understand written instructions and communicate effectively in verbal interactions.

  • Active Workstyle: Regular standing and frequent movement, including walking and using hands for various tasks.
  • Flexibility & Dexterity: Frequent reaching, bending, and maneuvering in various postures.
  • Manual Handling: Occasional lifting and transporting objects weighing over 40 pounds.
  • Visual Precision: Necessary visual acuity for detailed work, including near and far vision, color differentiation, and depth judgment.

The starting hourly rate for this position is $29.30. This is a first shift position. The salary may vary based on experience and skills.
