About the Role

As a seasoned Apartment Maintenance Manager at Sequoia Equities, you will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance professionals to ensure the upkeep and preservation of our multi-million dollar apartment communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and motivate your team to deliver exceptional maintenance services, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Maintenance Operations: Oversee the day-to-day maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance, to ensure the properties are well-maintained and meet our high standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve maintenance challenges efficiently, utilizing your expertise and knowledge of home maintenance, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and painting.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with residents, team members, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless maintenance operations and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge, promoting career growth and development.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading a team and inspiring others to achieve exceptional results.
  • Maintenance Expertise: Extensive knowledge of home maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and painting.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • On-Call Availability: Willingness to be on-call and respond to maintenance emergencies outside of regular working hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • General Contractor or Skilled Trade Experience: Experience as a general contractor, journeyman, electrician, HVAC technician, or other skilled trade professional.
  • Property Management Software Knowledge: Familiarity with property management and maintenance operations software, such as Yardi.
  • Maintenance Certifications: Possession of maintenance certifications, such as EPA or CPO, or willingness to obtain them.
  • Renovation or Construction Experience: Experience in renovation or construction, including project management and coordination.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this role is $27 - $34/hour, plus quarterly bonuses. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including superior health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) program with matching contributions, paid time off, and apartment rent discounts up to 50% based on tenure.
