Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of our Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing significant capital projects across our Poultry, Fresh Meats, and Prepared Foods sectors, as well as within our Warehousing & Transportation networks, with a primary focus on Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) functions.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for CSA within the Enterprise Engineering framework.
  • Ensure that all projects and initiatives comply with Tyson Foods' established policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain CSA specifications and standards in collaboration with various corporate functions.
  • Review project estimates and metrics to enhance project control through process improvements and training.
  • Support Operations and BU Engineering teams in adhering to Tyson Foods' design specifications.
  • Prepare reports, analyses, and presentations as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer applications, including spreadsheets and databases.
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage with various internal stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in the analysis, design, and detailing of structural components using diverse building materials.
  • The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
  • Experience with CAD, Revit, Risa, or other design software.

Travel Requirements:

Willingness to travel up to 15-20%, including multi-day stays, and the ability to navigate uneven surfaces in construction and plant environments safely.

This position operates on the 1st shift.
