About the Role

MUSC Health - Columbia Medical Center Downtown is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our team in the inpatient care of cardiology patients. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care, coordinate patient care, evaluate new and established patients, and assist with peer-to-peer approvals.

Our Team

You will be part of a hardworking team of cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, and cardiology APPs who are dedicated to providing advanced treatment and personalized care to patients in Columbia, SC, and the surrounding communities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to patients through comprehensive history and physical examinations
  • Evaluate and treat patients based on history, physical examination, radiological, laboratory, and other diagnostic test results
  • Initiate referrals to other healthcare providers and consult with attending physicians or collaborating physicians
  • Document and bill for direct care provided
  • Participate in quality/performance improvement activities and clinical research
  • Support accreditation, compliance, and regulatory activities of the organization
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and current licensure as a Physician Assistant or completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program and current licensure as an APRN
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a PA, FNP, or ANP
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
