Role Summary

The Assistant Coach for Volleyball plays a vital role within the NCAA Division III athletics program. This position involves collaborating closely with the head coach to facilitate practice sessions, strategize for competitions, and assist in recruitment efforts, along with fulfilling additional responsibilities as required.


Candidate Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
  • Enrollment in a graduate program at DeSales University is essential.
  • A valid Driver's License with a clean driving history is required.
  • Previous experience in playing or coaching at the collegiate level is preferred; however, significant high school or club coaching experience will also be considered.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership abilities are necessary.
  • A commitment to fostering positive relationships with student-athletes, coaching staff, and the broader university community is crucial.
  • Familiarity with both Windows and Mac Operating Systems is expected.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop is considered an advantageous skill.
  • Awareness and sensitivity to issues related to ethnicity, disability, and diversity are important.
  • A dedication to the mission of a small, Catholic, liberal arts institution is essential.
