About the Role

As a Business Development Manager at Wawa, you will play a key role in driving the success of our stores by leading the day-to-day operations in the absence of the General Manager and supporting them in all aspects of store management. Your primary responsibility will be to review business results, including profitability, and develop strategies for continued improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Growth: You will work closely with the General Manager to identify opportunities for sales growth and implement plans to achieve these goals.
  • Team Management: As a Business Development Manager, you will supervise the day-to-day task assignments and performance of all associates, ensuring they have the necessary skills and training to excel in their roles.
  • Customer Service: Providing exceptional customer service is crucial to our success. You will lead by example, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and exceeds expectations.
  • Store Operations: You will oversee all store operations, including foodservice, fuel, and lottery processes, ensuring seamless execution and high levels of efficiency.
  • Analysis and Reporting: You will analyze business processes and results to profitably achieve store goals, preparing regular reports and making recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: A minimum of 1 year of leadership experience in a food service environment is required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for this role, as you will need to effectively communicate with associates, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: You must be able to apply critical thinking skills to solve problems and make informed decisions.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires standing, walking, handling, reaching horizontally, and grasping firmly repetitively throughout a shift, as well as occasional lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs.
