Job Title: Citywide Sales Executive

Marriott International is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Citywide Sales Executive to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating citywide convention business for our local Marriott hotels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote our local Marriott hotels to citywide convention planners and exhibitors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with convention bureau leads, trade show planners, and housing company partners to identify and pursue citywide convention business opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with our event management and operations teams to provide exceptional customer service and ensure seamless event execution.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to inform sales strategies and drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our local market, including key stakeholders, industry trends, and competitor activity.
  • Collaborate with our Director of Group Strategy and Rooms Inventory Manager to strategically price our hotels to win market share and grow revenue per available room (RevPAR).
  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue and sales goals, including identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers, and negotiating contracts.
  • Provide regular sales reports and updates to management, highlighting key successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or a related field, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of success in generating citywide convention business and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong relationships with convention bureau leads, trade show planners, and housing company partners.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve sales goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
