Hospital Director of Operations, Veterinary Medicine

We are seeking a seasoned business leader with expertise in clinical operations, financial decision-making, and culture development to join our team as a Hospital Director of Operations, Veterinary Medicine.
The ideal candidate will embody the principles of servant leadership, value collaboration, and have the vision and ability to drive organizational growth.
As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all operations and business activities, leading team members across departments, and partnering closely with the Medical Director(s) to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
You will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans for growth, including the addition of new services, recruitment of doctors and other key team members, pricing strategies, space optimization, and acquisitions of new equipment.
Additionally, you will lead hospital financial activities, including monthly review of financial statements and appropriate corrective action in response to variances and trends.
As a passionate advocate for the human-animal bond, you will help each person on the team develop a deep understanding of the mission, vision, and values and how individual work is aligned with business goals that contribute to and ultimately drive our success.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of progressive operational management experience with a record of success, including experience owning a P&L.
- Larger scale healthcare (veterinary or human) experience preferred, but not required.
- Learns quickly and can absorb new information rapidly.
- Self-motivated while also an expert at motivating, coaching, and inspiring others.
- Ability to roll up your sleeves and get things done with enthusiastic participation, including flexible and irregular hours and role descriptions to support the hospital.
