Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Elevator Operations Specialist to join our team at Zeeland Farm Services I. As an Elevator Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting all aspects of elevator operation, including mixing feed, loading/unloading commodities, and maintaining equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Feed Mixing and Loading: Operate feed mixing machinery, load ingredients into mixers, and load sacks, boxes, or guide discharge spouts over customer and company-owned trucks.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Lubricate, adjust, and make minor repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimum performance and production.
  • Equipment Inspection: Conduct daily inspections of equipment for defects and safe operating conditions, and complete a vehicle condition report at the end of each day.
  • Quality and Safety: Follow all company and regulatory food safety policies and procedures, and report any potential food safety issues to management.
  • Customer Service: Provide a customer service attitude when interacting with internal and external customers, and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workstation/environment at all times.
Requirements
  • Education: High School or Equivalent
  • Experience: 6 months to 1 year preferred, with experience mixing feed products preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to safely operate heavy equipment, adapt to changes in the work environment, and communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
Work Environment

The Elevator Operations Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, and extreme temperatures. The noise level is usually very loud.
