Job Summary

At Hackensack Meridian Health, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and care by providing exceptional customer service and assisting with the preparation and delivery of meals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of meals, including setting up and maintaining work areas and service areas.
  • Operate kitchen equipment, including coffee makers, pellet warmers, and steam tables.
  • Deliver and pick up meal trays and late trays.
  • Stock and maintain pantries on nursing units.
  • Participate in cleaning assignments to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Adhere to HACCP, Aide, and HIPAA guidelines, including proper hand washing, personal hygiene, and food production, storage, labeling, and dating.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Previous experience in food service or nutrition is preferred.
