Job Description

At SynQor, we are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Product Evolution Process, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving state-of-the-art power systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and analyze power electronics circuits with a focus on manufacturability.
  • Develop and implement schematic capture, PCB layout, and microcontroller code design using Mentorgraphics Power Logic and PADs.
  • Conduct circuit simulation and analysis using SPICE, Mathcad, and PLECS.
  • Identify and evaluate power components, and participate in vendor selection processes.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to transition products to production and create design documentation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required; MS/PhD degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in power electronics design, or minimum of 3 years of graduate-level coursework in power electronics with an emphasis on power systems design.
  • Knowledge of circuit theory, isolated and non-isolated converters, with an emphasis on design for manufacturability.

  • Previous experience in a hi-tech manufacturing environment
