GE Vernova is seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Systems Engineer to join our Consulting Services team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for performing technical analysis related to power electronic and power systems control of renewable generation, battery energy storage systems, large industrial drives, and FACTS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical analysis using simulation tools like ATP/EMTP, PSCAD/EMTDC, and EMTP-RV
  • Support customers with power systems engineering expertise, including modeling, analysis, equipment design, and specification
  • Create, modify, and parametrize simulation models representing GE products like wind turbines, solar inverters, and battery storage
  • Evaluate grid code compliance and impact of renewable projects in bulk power systems
  • Support continuous development of transmission and distribution products associated with inverter-based resources
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in electrical engineering or electric power engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of industry experience performing transient analysis using simulation tools
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with common programming languages like Python, FORTRAN, C, C++, and MATLAB
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, electric power engineering, or related field of study
  • Industry reputation, prior IEEE/CIGRE published articles related to practical power systems engineering topics
  • Experience creating and modifying dynamic user models in simulation tools

GE Vernova offers a competitive salary range of $98,000 to $150,000 annually, plus 10% variable incentive compensation. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a defined contribution 401(k) plan and employee life insurance.
