Job Overview

The Director of IT will be responsible for overseeing the information technology strategy and operations within our company.

This role requires a strong leader with extensive experience in managing IT infrastructure, systems, and teams, particularly with the Blue Cherry ERP system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the IT strategy in alignment with the company's business goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the management and optimization of the Blue Cherry ERP system, ensuring it supports business operations effectively and efficiently.
  • Lead and manage the IT department, including recruiting, mentoring, and developing IT staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address their technology needs and ensure seamless integration of IT solutions.
  • Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and data centers.
  • Manage relationships with external IT vendors, service providers, and consultants.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and adherence to financial constraints.
  • Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Lead IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Coordinate with stakeholders and vendors as needed.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, resolving issues promptly and effectively. Ensure IT service desk operations are efficient and responsive.
  • Implement and enforce IT security measures, policies, and protocols to protect against cybersecurity threats. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure IT systems and services can be restored in the event of an outage or disaster.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. Lead the selection, implementation, and integration of new technologies.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for IT staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role within the consumer goods industry.
  • Extensive experience with Blue Cherry ERP system, including implementation, customization, and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, and systems administration.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing IT budgets.
