Job Summary

Lenox Hill Radiology is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative/Technologist Aide to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and register patients, collect copays, and verify patient information.
  • Assist team members by notifying patient arrival and communicating delays in appointments.
  • Obtain proper insurance/authorizations and patient information, collect signatures, and ensure accuracy and completion of necessary documentation.
  • Schedule, reschedule, or cancel new or current patients, confirm appointments, and notify staff of changes when necessary.
  • Demonstrate competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguard any on-site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and any legal requirements.
  • Demonstrate respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
  • Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrate ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • 1 year of previous medical office experience and intermediate computer skills
  • Medical terminology knowledge and recent medical/radiology office work experience is preferred
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position working Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.

The pay range for this position is $25.20 per hour.
