Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Development: Develop project scope, cost estimates, and schedules for capital projects and engineering studies.
  • Design and Construction: Manage detail mechanical design, write construction bid packages, and evaluate/select process equipment and outside contract services.
  • Field Operations: Review contractor field work, monitor safe work practices, and issue work permits.
  • Reporting and Administration: Prepare purchase requisitions, plant work orders, and monthly cost/project status reports.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide assistance to plant personnel and outside contractors to troubleshoot problems and offer startup assistance on capital projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical or chemical.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with chemical experience being a plus.
  • Knowledgeable with chemical processing equipment.
  • Experience managing projects exceeding $100,000, including cost estimating and scheduling.
  • Familiarity with field construction methods and safe work practices.
