Economist/Senior Economist

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is seeking a highly skilled Economist/Senior Economist to join its Fiscal Affairs Department (FAD) in a new secretariat role. This position will play a critical role in managing the Global Public Finance Partnership (GPFP), a key initiative aimed at promoting fiscal capacity development worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Head of the Secretariat in developing and implementing the GPFP's strategy, financing, and operations.
- Analyze the GPFP's performance in terms of results and finances, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with donors, stakeholders, and other key partners to ensure successful implementation of the GPFP.
- Prepare and manage the GPFP's annual workplan, in close coordination with FAD divisions and other IMF departments.
- Advanced university degree in economics or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a relevant field.
- Proven track record of analyzing complex financial data and developing strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of IMF capacity development policies and processes, with experience in delivering CD on fiscal issues.
