We are seeking a highly skilled Economist to join our team at the US Department of Homeland Security. As an Economist, you will play a critical role in analyzing and developing economic policies that support the Department's mission.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth analysis of economic data and trends to inform policy decisions.
- Develop and implement economic models to forecast future economic conditions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address economic challenges and opportunities.
- Prepare and present complex economic data and analysis to senior leaders and policymakers.
- Stay up-to-date with economic research and best practices to ensure the Department's policies are informed by the latest economic thinking.
- Master's degree in economics or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in economic analysis or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Ph.D. in economics or a related field.
- Experience working in a government agency or a related field.
- Knowledge of economic modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Experience with data analysis and statistical software.
