Phlebotomist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Hamilton County. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients, maintaining specimen integrity, and tracking collected specimens.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify test requisitions and patient identification
  • Collect blood specimens through venipunctures and fingersticks
  • Maintain specimen integrity using aseptic technique and department procedures
  • Track collected specimens and maintain daily tallies of collections performed
  • Monitor glucose levels and perform bedside glucose tests
  • Perform bleeding-times tests and notify pathologist of results
