About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our Power and Energy team in Rochester, NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for working on projects with our Energy Team and contributing to the growth and success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the guidance of a Supervising Engineer to design and review grading and drainage systems, foundations, driveways, and site plans.
  • Lead and advise on civil engineering projects and the capital program, maintaining good working relationships with internal groups and external stakeholders.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, adhering to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • 3+ years of relevant post-education experience as a civil engineer.
  • Experience working in consulting firms is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with various engineering design tools and software.
  • Effective self-leadership, attention to detail, results orientation, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Efficient communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with team members remotely.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and adherence to WSP's health, safety, and drug/alcohol policies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • Essential Professional Licensure/Certification or eligibility for PE Licensing.

Compensation

The expected salary for this role is $73,100 - $114,000, depending on location and experience. WSP USA reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other protected status.
