The Payroll Management Specialist will engage with clients to gather necessary payroll information and address tax-related inquiries, ensuring accuracy and prompt resolution of any issues while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. Additionally, this position involves facilitating training sessions.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Managing a portfolio of payroll clients, tailored to their size and complexity across various products.
  • Daily communication with clients to collect payroll data, including salary modifications, special payments, tax distributions, and employee deductions, while establishing schedules.
  • Inputting all payroll-related information accurately to ensure timely processing and adherence to deadlines.
  • Upholding a high client retention rate through exemplary service.
  • Staying informed about payroll processing systems and updates in wage and tax regulations, liaising with federal, state, and local tax authorities on behalf of clients.
  • Maintaining organized client records.
  • Investigating and resolving client and system-related issues.
  • Building and sustaining positive relationships with clients, agencies, and colleagues to foster a quality service image.
  • Contributing to training sessions.
  • Executing additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution, or three or more years of relevant office experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of payroll and payroll tax regulations is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office, data entry, and office equipment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in customer service and problem-solving.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
