Residential Electrician Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Residential Electrician to join our team at Current Contracting, LLC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roughing in new homes and troubleshooting electrical issues on service calls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rough-In Electrical Work
- Install electrical wiring, outlets, switches, panels, and other fixtures according to local electrical codes and project blueprints.
- Plan and layout electrical systems for new residential construction.
- Ensure that rough-ins are completed safely, efficiently, and accurately to support drywall and finish work.
- Troubleshooting & Service Calls
- Respond to service calls to diagnose and resolve electrical issues in existing homes.
- Identify and repair faults in electrical systems, including circuits, panels, and wiring.
- Provide solutions and recommendations to homeowners to resolve electrical problems and improve system performance.
- Installation & Upgrades
- Install lighting, receptacles, GFCIs, AFCIs, and other electrical components.
- Perform electrical upgrades, such as service panel replacements and additional circuits.
- Collaborate with homeowners and contractors to ensure safe and efficient installations.
- Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with builders, general contractors, and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
- Communicate effectively with homeowners, providing clear explanations of work performed and any recommendations.
- Maintain detailed records of work completed and materials used.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 5+ years of residential electrical experience, particularly with rough-in work and service call troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to work on new home construction projects from rough-in to final inspection.
- Skills:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and local building codes.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical issues.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety regulations.
- Licensing & Certifications:
- Valid electrician's license (Journeyman or Master Electrician preferred).
- OSHA certification or other safety certifications (preferred).
