Building Automation Systems Specialist

EMCOR Group and its companies specialize in providing building control, energy management, and integrated facility management systems. We are seeking a skilled Building Automation Systems Specialist to support client sites throughout Massachusetts.
Job Summary: This position is responsible for the startup of building automation systems at commercial customer sites. The successful candidate will work closely with the engineering department and field electricians to ensure a completed project that meets customer requirements.
- Conduct Point-to-Point commissioning of controls by verifying the proper input or output signal is present at the controller.
- Assist in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required.
- Validate complete system functionality and troubleshoot problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
- Develop software programs necessary to operate the system per the intent of the project requirements.
- Develop complex software programs, commission, and troubleshoot to ensure proper operations of the building control systems.
- Provide field change information to the project team for the creation of as-built drawings and software.
- Responsible for reporting and handling problems and field conditions as part of job accountability.
- Accountable for completion of Functional Testing.
- Operate the HVAC equipment through its full sequence of operations to ensure correct programming.
- Verify safety interlocks to prevent damage to equipment.
- Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the Customer by focusing on superior customer service.
- Conduct the final project walk-through with the customer.
- High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
- Experience working with DDC system software and excellent Microsoft program skills.
- Set-up IT networks as it relates to DDC control systems.
- Strong customer relation skills.
- Ability to travel from site-to-site locations.
- Must provide own hand tools required for commercial projects.
