Med/Surg unit (7S). Full-time, 40-hour shifts, evening/night rotation, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm and 11:00 pm - 7:30 am. Weekend and holiday commitment.
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a vital role as a member of the healthcare team, working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) to effectively and consistently carry out all responsibilities associated with the PCT position.
Key responsibilities include assisting the RN with clinical tasks such as blood glucose monitoring, performing EKGs, applying basic dressings, utilizing aseptic techniques, and responding to medical emergencies with Heartsaver CPR and AED skills.
Moreover, the PCT is dedicated to addressing the needs of patients and their families while actively contributing to the smooth operation of the unit.
Uphold the principles of Patient and Family Centered Care in an environment that showcases best practices. Previous experience as a PCT/CNA is preferred.About Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital:

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED certificate is required. Certified nursing assistant or current nursing student who has completed Fundamentals of Nursing or an equivalent med/surg clinical rotation. AHA Heartsaver, CPR, and AED certification are required.
Prior PCT/CNA experience is preferred.
