POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Accountable for the loading and dispatching of products to uphold Anchor Ingredients' stringent quality standards, while ensuring that daily operational tasks are performed safely and efficiently. This role involves operating transfer vehicles between facilities using various types of trucks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Transport Operations

  1. Utilize heavy machinery for snow clearance.
  2. Operate loading equipment and manage bulk product movements.
  3. Position loading equipment for effective transfer of materials.
  4. Drive vehicles onto transfer systems and manage unloading processes.
  5. Monitor and maintain inventory levels during unloading.
  6. Document and seal shipments as required, ensuring compliance with paperwork and sample retention.
  7. Achieve forklift certification to assist with loading and unloading tasks as necessary.
  • Facilitate product transfers between facilities as needed:
    1. Weigh and verify product specifications and quantities.
    2. Ensure accurate documentation and sample retention for compliance.
    3. Optimize workflows to minimize wait times.
  • Collaborate with team members:
    1. This role supports the overall production across multiple facilities.
    2. Work closely with onsite supervisors to maintain an effective schedule.
    3. Coordinate with other operational staff as needed.

Facility Maintenance

  • Ensure cleanliness of work areas before concluding daily tasks, leaving no personal items or waste behind.
  • Maintain cleanliness around unloading zones between operations.
  • Return tools to designated storage after use.
  • Dispose of waste properly when containers are full.
  • Additional tasks may include landscaping, snow removal, and other facility upkeep as assigned.

General Responsibilities

  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team and supervisors.
  • Address minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
  • Engage with team members to complete tasks, holding oneself and others accountable for responsibilities. Seek assistance when necessary.
  • Prioritize safety for employees and product integrity in all operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Class A CDL license preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Capability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Physical ability to:
    1. Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
    2. Stand for extended periods.
    3. Work in dusty environments.
    4. Operate loading equipment safely.
    5. Endure extreme temperatures.
    6. Work in confined spaces.
    7. Work at heights.
