The role of a Content Developer I involves creating and refining technical documentation that effectively communicates maintenance procedures and clarifies intricate technical concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce comprehensive technical writing that guides users on safe product maintenance and simplifies complex technical information.
- Enhance and reorganize existing documentation as new options and updates are introduced.
- Develop service-related content, including critical safety information.
- Support the establishment and enhancement of the Company Content Management System (CCMS) while providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
- Create and uphold style guides and templates that comply with current standards for a global audience.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment throughout the content development lifecycle.
- Maintain a robust understanding of company products and services, as well as familiarity with company-approved standards.
- Work collaboratively across functions to deliver high-quality content within established project timelines.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in technical writing or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (0-5%) and stay overnight as needed (0-5%).
- Ability to drive a personal vehicle for company-related tasks, not exceeding 20% of the workweek.
