The Community Navigator is also responsible for promoting awareness of Voyages Behavioral Health programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Marketing:

  • Identify and pursue new referral sources for Voyages Behavioral Health within the assigned region.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with referral sources by assessing and addressing their behavioral health needs.
  • Conduct in-person meetings to promote Voyages Behavioral Health programs and achieve weekly objectives.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all inpatient and outpatient programs, including their features and benefits.
  • Meet established goals for calls, joint marketing efforts, and educational presentations.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Timely completion and submission of weekly call reports, time and expense reports, and credit card receipts.
  • Keep accurate records of all contacts within the assigned territory using the sales database.
  • Maintain and update customer profiles in the sales database as necessary.
  • Contribute to market research by gathering relevant information and sharing insights with management.
  • Identify areas of need and opportunities for enhancing marketing strategies.
  • Assist in the development of new programs and services based on stakeholder assessments.
  • Spot new business and partnership opportunities and communicate them to management.

Managed Care Relationships:

  • Identify contracting opportunities with managed care organizations and provider networks.
  • Coordinate meetings with managed care representatives and Voyages Behavioral Health case managers.

Customer Service:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service characterized by courtesy, compassion, and effective communication.
  • Promote the Mission and Vision of Voyages Behavioral Health within the workplace and the community.
  • Uphold dignity and confidentiality by adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or a related field, or significant experience in healthcare marketing. Proficiency in computer systems and a desire to enhance skills with Voyages Behavioral Health software are essential. Crisis management certification as per hospital policy is required.

Experience: A minimum of two years in healthcare sales or marketing is required, with prior experience engaging with physicians preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in presenting information and conducting educational sessions.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for presentations.
  • Effective decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in an unstructured environment and manage ambiguity.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
