About The Dentist Place

We are a dynamic dental practice seeking a highly skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant at The Dentist Place, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive experience from the start of their dental journey.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care.
  • Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using state-of-the-art technology.
  • Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during a wide range of procedures.
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping, ensuring accurate and efficient management of patient information.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and follow OSHA & CDC recommendations.
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed.
  • Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

Requirements
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
  • Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification, if required under the state dental practice act.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.
  • Dentrix or other dental software experience.
  • Dental assisting school certification.
Physical Requirements

The position requires the ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position.

Prolonged periods of sitting and standing are required, and the ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times is necessary.

Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year is also required.
