Key Responsibilities- Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care, including preparing patients for exams and procedures.
- Take and develop radiographs (x-rays) and maintain radiographic certification.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with dental procedures, such as polishing clinical crowns, applying topical fluoride gels and varnish, and placing temporary restorations and sealants.
- Remove sutures and fabricate temporary crowns, pack cord, and cement temporary crowns.
- Ensure proper operatory setup, including arranging instruments and equipment before patient arrival.
- Maintain accurate records and enter information into EagleSoft electronic oral health record.
- Florida Dental Radiology Certificate
- FL Dental Expanded Duty Certificate
- FL driver's license
- Current/active CPR certificate
- Working knowledge of standard dental procedures, techniques, and materials used in the dental clinic
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards, dental infection control, and hazardous dental materials
- Positive, helpful attitude toward dental director, dentist, students, staff, patients, and their families
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) - highly preferred
- Pediatric experience - highly preferred
