About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team at The Dentist Place of Ocala. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality dental services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized patient care and support throughout their dental journey, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to deliver quality care.
  • Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using state-of-the-art technology.
  • Offer superior chairside assistance to our dentists during various procedures, adhering to the state dental practice act.
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record-keeping, ensuring seamless office workflow.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines.
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed.
  • Collaborate with our providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
  • Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification, as required by the state dental practice act.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job-related functions, with regular HIPAA training and data safeguards.
