Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our clinical support team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality dental services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Greet and welcome patients, sustain patient comfort, and provide education throughout treatment.
  • Clinical Support: Conduct thorough reviews of patient health history, take and process x-rays, and provide chairside assistance to dentists during various procedures.
  • Administrative Tasks: Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping, manage supply and inventory levels, and place orders as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.
Requirements
  • Working Knowledge: Dental procedures and terminology.
  • Experience: Working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
  • Certifications: Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification (if required under the state dental practice act).
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.
  • Software Experience: Dentrix or other dental software experience.
  • Certification: Dental assisting school certification.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability: Perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of sitting and standing, lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds.
