Job Summary

The Assistant Athletic Trainer, Sports Medicine, is responsible for providing exceptional personal care for student-athletes and sport programs, as assigned, with regards to safety, injury prevention, rehabilitation, healthy eating and living, and health insurance matters.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily athletic training needs for assigned intercollegiate athletic teams
  • Oversee the care and maintenance of athletic training facilities
  • Collaborate with the Director of Athletic Training to ensure the overall well-being of student-athletes
  • Develop and implement injury prevention and rehabilitation programs
  • Manage health insurance matters for student-athletes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in athletic training or related field/concentration
  • Minimum of one (1) year of directly related experience as a certified athletic trainer
  • State athletic training licensure, in good standing, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or eligible to pursue upon being hired
  • Certified by the Board of Certification (BOC)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three (3) or more years of experience at the Division I collegiate level
  • Experience managing multiple sports as an athletic trainer

  • PA DMV Background Check
