MaST Schools is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Athletic Trainer and Programs Support professional to join our team. As an integral part of our athletic department, this role will provide therapeutic care to individuals suffering injuries as a result of school activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Work with coaches, athletes, and medical professionals to evaluate player conditions and develop effective treatment plans.
- Create personalized exercise and nutrition plans to support athlete health and fitness goals.
- Design and implement training and rehabilitation programs for athletes, utilizing knowledge of sports-related injuries to diagnose and treat athletes.
- Collaborate with coaches, family members, and athletes to set health and fitness goals and provide guidance on injury prevention and management.
- Maintain accurate records of athlete condition, training, diet, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with school board policy on concussion management.
- Bachelor's Degree or entry-level Master's Degree in Athletic Training or related field.
- Certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (Class A).
- CPR and First Aid Certifications required, with the ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Instructor certification if not already held.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with coaches, athletes, and medical professionals.
- Ability to prioritize work, evaluate problems, and determine solutions in a fast-paced environment.
The Athletic Trainer and Programs Support professional will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to body fluids and patients who are incontinent and/or confused. The role will also require occasional exposure to patients who are combative and/or verbally abusive.
