Executive Director, Penn Washington

Penn Washington is seeking an Executive Director to lead its programmatic efforts in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing initiatives that connect the University of Pennsylvania to federal and global policy communities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement programmatic initiatives that advance the University's global policy goals
- Build relationships with faculty, school leadership, and external partners to create opportunities and advance the core mission
- Direct and implement a broad range of programmatic activities, including speakers, conferences, seminars, and other events
- Manage Penn Washington's operational and financial activities, including budgeting and fundraising
- Supervise programmatic, communications, and outreach staff
- Advanced degree (master's, JD, or PhD) in a relevant field and 7+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- At least five years of management experience in an academic and/or policy environment, including working closely with faculty and relevant policy communities required
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex programs and initiatives, with a track record of increasing responsibility in an organization
- Deep experience with policymaking and the operational workings of how to effect change through research
- Domestic or global expertise as demonstrated by research, publications, or work experience required
