Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Elementary School Special Education Teacher for the upcoming academic year. This role is essential in providing tailored instruction and support to students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) within our school.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering inclusive support and instruction in mainstream classrooms with IEP students, and when necessary, conducting separate classes.
- Managing various aspects of the Special Education program, including documentation, professional development for staff, communication with parents and students, and ensuring compliance with educational regulations.
- Maintaining high academic and behavioral standards for students while providing necessary support to help them achieve these goals.
- Engaging actively in professional development and coaching opportunities.
- Contributing to school activities during non-instructional periods.
- Fostering a collaborative and positive environment within the Match Education community.
Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:
- A bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of two years of full-time experience as a classroom or special education teacher, preferably in an urban setting.
- A valid Special Education license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or the ability to obtain it within a year of hire.
- A strong belief in the potential for all students to succeed.
- A commitment to continuous improvement through feedback.
- A proven track record of student achievement.
- Effective teamwork skills and a willingness to support colleagues.
