Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Elementary School Special Education Teacher to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) receive the support and instruction they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver inclusive support and instruction within general education classrooms, while also providing specialized instruction when necessary.
- Manage the school's special education programming, including essential documentation, professional development for staff, communication with parents and students, and compliance with educational regulations.
- Maintain high academic and behavioral standards for students, offering robust support to help them achieve these expectations.
- Engage actively in professional development and coaching opportunities.
- Contribute to school activities and programming during non-instructional periods.
- Foster a collaborative and positive environment within the Match Education community.
Qualifications

- A bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of two years of full-time experience as a classroom or special education teacher, preferably in an urban setting.
- A valid Special Education license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or the ability to obtain licensure within a year of hire.
- A strong belief in the potential for all students to succeed.
- A commitment to continuous improvement through feedback and professional growth.
- A proven track record of student achievement.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a willingness to support colleagues.
