Washington, United States The Fannie Mae Full time
About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pricing Financial Engineer Associate to join our Capital Markets Pricing and Valuation team at Fannie Mae. As a valued colleague, you will play a critical role in supporting the team in valuing Fannie Mae's Asset and Liability portfolios using financial industry knowledge and mathematical/fixed income models.

Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with creating cash flow models, pricing methodologies, and valuation techniques to support Fannie Mae's fixed-income portfolios and new business initiatives. You will also discuss markets and fixed income concepts and trends with internal and external market participants, execute daily fair-value pricing for the Company's loans, securities, debt, and derivative portfolio, and research market activity and risk factors that could affect the pricing of the portfolios.

In addition, you will execute pricing methodologies and strategies to ensure pricing is consistent with the current market environment and reduce operational risk. You will also document and report on processing or analyzing large amounts of data efficiently using advanced financial engineering tools and techniques.

As a Pricing Financial Engineer Associate, you will contribute to financial analysis or forecasting, which may include scenario or sensitivity analysis, stress testing, or attribution analysis. You will also participate in executing models and/or interpreting model results, assist with translating the results from the analysis or models for the customer into understandable conclusions, and assist model builders to vet new models, suggest changes to existing models, or analyze model performance data.

Requirements include a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and fixed income market experience from a trading, portfolio management, securities valuation, or research background. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience with Bloomberg, Intex, and other valuation tools is a plus.

Fannie Mae is a flexible hybrid company that offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, life, and voluntary lifestyle benefits. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
