Medical Laboratory Specialist

Medical Laboratory Technicians/Technologists are responsible for performing tests and reporting results for use in the diagnosis, treatment and/or monitoring treatment of diseases. This role operates equipment or instruments necessary to perform high volume, less difficult analytical tests. Recognizing instrument malfunction and making simple corrections using preset strategies or notifying a supervisor. Individuals are responsible for performing and recording all quality control procedures required for tests assayed as well as recognizing abnormal or unusual test results and following departmental policy for reporting critical values.
Responsibilities- Perform tests and report results for use in the diagnosis, treatment and/or monitoring treatment of diseases
- Operate equipment or instruments necessary to perform high volume, less difficult analytical tests

- Licensure as Medical Lab Technician or Medical Technologist (ASCP)
- One (1) Year Related Experience
