Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to perform a variety of patient testing and administrative tasks in support of our clinical activities in the UNCHCS Core Laboratory.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical laboratory technology and excellent communication skills to work effectively with our team and provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:- Perform patient testing and administrative tasks in support of clinical activities
- Work effectively with our team to ensure good patient care and customer service
- Resolve issues and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues as needed
- Ensure all laboratory quality indicators are met
- Develop and implement coverage plans to ensure adequate staffing
- Document and communicate problems that arise during shift
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
- MLS/MT (ASCP), MT (NCA), or MT (AMT) certification
- Two years of experience at the medical laboratory technologist, medical laboratory technician, cytotechnologist, or histotechnologist level
