About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Resident Engineer to join our Water practice in the Boston area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the technical supervision of construction projects, including large water and wastewater pump stations, treatment plants, and force main projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical supervision of construction projects, including sewer separation, stormwater pump stations, storage tanks, and water/wastewater treatment plants.
  • Supervising Stantec staff, including development of management plans, tracking career progress, mentoring, and approving timesheets and training/development requests.
  • Managing inspection staff and delivering daily inspector reports in accordance with clients' requirements.
  • Liaising with design staff to respond to Contractors' RFI's and reviewing shop drawings.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact on assigned construction contracts, with primary responsibility for construction contract administration and quality management.
  • Ensuring overall site safety, permit status compliance, and coordination with other agencies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience on projects showing increasing responsibility.
  • Minimum of five (5) years in a construction management role of water and wastewater related projects.
  • CCM is preferred.
