Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Business Units with technical advice and expertise relating to Kee Safety Group products. You will also assist with the New Product Development Program to meet Kee Safety Group requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical advice and expertise to the Business Units on Kee Safety Group products
  • Assist with the New Product Development Program to meet Kee Safety Group requirements
  • Support the Operations Manager and Technical Manager on product testing and quality matters
  • Coordinate incoming requests from customers, prospects, and internal customers that require detailing
  • Prepare technical solutions for incoming requests and prepare standard documents containing calculations
  • Work on different product drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor - 3D solid works and prepare BOM for complicated assemblies
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the parts catalogues and operation instruction manuals for the assigned products
  • Support the Technical Manager in maintaining external approvals of Kee Safety Group products through testing or auditing
  • Provide alternate solutions to customers in case of product installation issues on site
  • Provide training to salespeople and technicians regarding different product knowledge and installations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural/Mechanical/Production Engineering, Masters a plus
  • Highly proficient in current 2D & 3D Solid Modelling in Solid works CAD Software along with knowledge of FEA
  • Numerate and analytical skills, high attention to detail
  • Knowledge in scaffolding and guard railing with an understanding of pipe/tube calculations for bending theory, to comply with latest standards a plus
  • Ability to travel to work sites as needed
  • 3-5 years of prior technical engineer experience is preferred
