Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

At Retech Systems, we are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing mechanical and electromechanical equipment for various industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering department support by generating high-quality technical evaluations and reports of designs utilizing hand calculations, FEA, or other methods.
  • Provide technical support for the Sales Department, including system sizing analysis, equipment conceptual and detailed layouts, customer visits, and cost analysis.
  • Develop clear and concise engineering specifications for design and/or procurement of subsystems, components, and engineering services.
  • Generate high-quality written reports, proposals, instructions, manuals, white papers, and other documentation that may be distributed to customers, internal users, or the public at large.
  • Develop written methods and procedures for testing equipment and systems.
  • Provide reports on the status of project milestones and adjust schedules accordingly.
  • Review documents such as customer design specifications and requests for quotes to determine feasibility of design and applicability of Retech products to customer needs.
  • Generate creative solutions, use feedback to modify design, apply design principles, and demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Support fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, or other 3D CAD programs.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience using FEA Software or similar.
  • Ability to perform heat transfer analysis and energy balance on complex systems.
  • Ability to perform calculations for sizing components like pumps, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic/pneumatic cylinders.
  • Strong stress analysis skills.
  • Working knowledge of FEA analysis.
  • Proven track record in generating innovative and practical ideas.
  • Experience with industrial schematics or P&IDs.
  • Working knowledge of recognized industry standards.
  • Ability to maintain project schedules and adhere to budgets.
  • Working knowledge of materials suitable for use in high-temperature, corrosive environments.
Education and Experience:
  • BSME from a four-year college or university.

  • Proven track record of generating innovative and practical ideas.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external customers.
  • Exceptional organization skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to be proactive and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Detail-orientated with ability to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • A work style which is "people-oriented" and can obtain the best out of team members.
Physical Demands:
  • The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, hear, and talk.
  • The employee is frequently required to use hands.
  • The employee occasionally will be required to reach with hands or arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
  • The work environment is an office setting with periodic need to visit the plant floor.
  • The position may be required to work long hours extending into the weekends on some occasions.
  • The position may also need to travel for short or extended trips as needed.
  • The position must also be able and willing to travel to international and domestic sites for sales, installation, and customer service support.
Salary Description:

$60,000 - $90,000 Annually DOE
