Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing complete and detailed piping and sheet metal take-offs to support project leaders' estimates. This is a key role that requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret bid documents, specifications, and addendums to identify scope gaps and discrepancies.
- Review and coordinate drawings, scopes, and P.O.C.s with other trades to ensure accurate take-offs.
- Set up piping and sheet metal databases per job specification and perform redlining and system sizing as required.
- Prepare recaps, general conditions, schedules, and letters for projects, and identify different types of walls for through-duct and pipe-rated penetration.
- Prepare RFI's for projects and run Auto Bid job reports to collate data into recap sheets.
- Review subcontractor and equipment scope for leveling and scope coverage related to the project scope.
- Identify unique alternate systems for pricing and solicit pricing from vendors, subcontractors, and engineering for projects.
- Provide take-off quantities of material and labor to project leaders for estimates and create and maintain all necessary system documents and files.
- 5 years of mechanical/HVAC estimating experience or significant field experience in a relevant trade.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- 10+ years of mechanical/HVAC estimating experience.
- Trimble Autobid and/or other estimating software platforms related to sheet metal and/or piping.
- Knowledge of sheet metal and piping standards and codes.
- Microsoft Office skills, Bluebeam, and Navis model.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
$43.26/hr - $52.88/hr (annualized: $90,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr)
