Job Title:

CyberTec is seeking a skilled Desktop Engineer to join our team. As a Desktop Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining desktop and laptop images for all models of hardware supported by our client.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Server and Applications teams to test major Windows Operating System releases with existing applications to ensure seamless upgrades.
  • Collaborate with the imaging technician to ensure systems are built and ready for deployment.
  • Act as a support for desktop technicians when hardware problems arise.
  • Design, implement, and maintain desktop and laptop images for all hardware models.
  • Order necessary desktop hardware, working closely with IT and Procurement groups, and maintain sufficient stock to support user requests.
  • Monitor equipment in the field and in stock using our inventory system.
  • Coordinate hardware repairs and electronic disposal of obsolete equipment.
  • Provide technical support for all infrastructure teams as needed.
  • Perform hardware and software troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose problems.
Requirements:
  • 3 years of experience in a desktop engineering role or equivalent.
