About the Role: Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to support a Learning and Behavior Disorder (LBD) caseload for the 2024-2025 school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with Learning and Behavior Disorders (LBD).
  • Provide direct, one-on-one, and small group instruction tailored to the academic and behavioral needs of students.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to promote student success.
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom using evidence-based strategies.
  • Support students in both pull-out and full-time placement within the LBD classroom.
  • Regularly assess and track student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education services.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration regarding student progress, behavior, and IEP goals.

Requirements:

  • Valid K-12 Special Education Certification in Learning and Behavior Disorders (LBD) for the state of Kentucky.
  • Experience or strong willingness to work with students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
  • Ability to develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for working with students to achieve their academic and social-emotional potential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom and provide clear, structured instruction.
