Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will be responsible for operating x-ray and auxiliary equipment, processing images, and maintaining equipment. This is a critical role that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for exams, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the procedure.
  • Imaging Procedures: Perform various x-ray exams according to established standards and procedures, positioning patients correctly and adjusting equipment as needed.
  • Image Processing: Process and maintain exposed images, labeling them correctly and ensuring they are properly stored.
  • Quality Control: Monitor patient condition during procedures, recognizing and reporting any abnormalities or concerns.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Licensure: New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience performing radiologic exams.
  • Certification: BLS through the American Heart Association.
Additional Information
