Are you a compassionate and adaptable Certified Nursing Assistant looking for a new challenge? The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a qualified CNA to join our team as a Travel CNA. This opportunity allows you to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from your home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.
Job SummaryThe Travel CNA will provide assistance with basic health care needs, including daily living activities, such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents. The CNA will also assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate, and participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
Responsibilities- Provide assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and obtaining and recording vital signs.
- Provide psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
- Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate.
- Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
