Human Resources Specialist

Key responsibilities include facilitating the hiring process, creating job postings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews. You will also be responsible for conducting background and reference checks, administering employee onboarding, and organizing orientation meetings. Additionally, you will be expected to perform routine tasks required to execute human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes, performance, and training.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop HR policies and standard operating procedures (SOP's) in line with the Township's objectives and goals. You will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices, reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, with 2 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a Generalist role. Payroll processing experience is preferred, as is SHRM-CP certification. The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
